About Us

reyna curandera

Mama Rayna

Reyna is a very powerfull Curandera and Palero. She has generous heart, and is full kindness, and humility. She was born in the Peruvian Amazon in the 1950s into a very poor family and lived through a life marked by hardship, including the loss of a son, a painful divorce, and a severe illness. Her path to healing began when she was diagnosed with cancer, an experience that led her to retreat into the jungle and heal herself through plant and tree diets.

After recovering, Reyna continued to deepen her practice of these diets and learned the ways of healing and Vegetalismo, becoming a powerful healer and an experienced Curandera. During ceremonies, her presence is extraordinary, and at times she sings throughout the entire night. She sings powerful Icaros meant for deep healing and protection, arising from her close connection with the spirits of the jungle.

Reyna specializes in matters related to women’s lives, as well as the release of pain and trauma, and she is always happy to teach the healing path and the proper way to carry out plant diets. After many years of sacrifice and the strict diets she underwent herself, she now brings her knowledge to help people learn the ways of nature, heal, and release the pain of the past. In the Amazonian tradition, she is considered a Palero, meaning an expert in long-term diets with some of the strongest trees in the jungle.

Among the plants Reyna specializes in are Oje, Toë, Camalonga, and various kinds of Renacos, including Came Renaco, Huacra Renaco, Warmi Renaco, Sapote Renaco, and Caballo Renaco. You are invited to an Amazonian journey with a wonderful shamanic healer, curandera, and palera.

My journey began in 2016 during an inspiring first visit to the deep Amazon. There, in a direct encounter with wild nature, I was introduced to the fascinating world of Amazonian medicine and the practice of plant diets. The profound connection forged during that visit moved me to return to the jungle again and again, continuing to deepen my learning and exploring the world of connecting with plants and learning directly from nature. In 2017, out of a desire to share the tools I received, I began serving Kambo medicine.

Further along the path, I met my wife, who joined the work, and together we began guiding people alongside our teachers in Amazonian diets. From then until today, we continue to deepen our connection and partnership with Reyna, who has been working in this field for 31 years, and has walked by our side for about a decade.

Over the years, around this shared work, a tribe slowly formed. More and more of those walking the path joined us, and dedicated supporters entered the circle, bringing with them unique qualities for holding the space. The beating heart of this tribe, and the deepest common denominator connecting all team members, is their wide hearts, kind eyes, and their profound immersion in nature's healing path and Amazonian plant diets. In ceremonies alongside Reyna, they provide support through singing, playing instruments, and helping anyone in need with a path full of heart and giving.

The medicine tribe that has grown here is a source of immense pride and one of the core strengths of our circle. It is a group of people who have experienced the path firsthand, and from this grounded and pure place, they now find true joy and purpose in guiding others on their journey toward healing.
